What is Toca Social?
Toca Social is an interactive football venue. You play in a private game box for 45 minutes. A ball-serving machine feeds you footballs, a screen sets the targets, and the games score themselves automatically.
Food and drink are brought to your box while you play, so you don't need to stop the game to eat or visit the bar.
After your session, the venue has bars with a full cocktail list, foosball tables, arcade machines and photo booths. Screens around the venue show Premier League and Champions League matches.
Toca Social has three UK venues: The O2 and Westfield White City in London, and the Bullring in Birmingham.
How does it work?
Each box has a ball-serving machine that feeds you footballs, paired with a screen that sets up different games and challenges. You aim for targets on the screen, and it tracks your score for you.
There's a mix of games to try, from precision target challenges to more arcade-style modes, so you're not doing the same thing on repeat for the full 45 minutes.
Beginner modes are designed so someone who has never played can still hit targets and get points on the board, while the harder settings give more experienced players something to actually test themselves against. That's what makes it work for a group with mixed ability.
We'd recommend four or more players, since the games are built around rotating through as a group and there's enough going on to fill the full 45 minutes.
How long do you get?
Your game time depends on how many people are playing:
- 2 to 3 players: 45 minutes
- 4 to 6 players: 60 minutes
- 7 to 9 players: 75 minutes
- 10 to 12 players: 90 minutes
Groups above 12 split across two adjacent boxes, with the same time bands applying.
How much does it cost?
Prices change depending on when you go. It costs more at popular times and less when it's quieter. Prices for each day and time are below.

Per person, for a 45-minute game box, sampled from the booking flow at the O2 site. Columns are time of day rather than price band, so a cell showing two figures means the price changes partway through that window. Saturday 09:00 to 10:00 has not been sampled. Rates move with demand, so treat these as bands rather than exact figures. Saturday early afternoon regularly sells out entirely.
What that means in practice
- The last slots of the night are always the cheapest. Every day drops to around £10 to £12 once you get past 21:00 or 22:00, Saturday included.
- Saturday daytime and early evening is the dearest thing here, sitting near £23 for most of the afternoon, and the early afternoon often sells out before you get the chance.
- Monday and Tuesday evenings are the best value proper slots, at roughly half the Saturday rate for exactly the same box.
- Thursday holds steady at around £17 from midday to early evening, useful if you are fixing a budget before you know the exact time.
- Friday is the priciest weeknight, staying near £17 to £20 all evening, so a Friday works out noticeably dearer than the same plan on a Thursday.
The saving worth knowing: for four people, a Saturday teatime slot is around £92 and a Monday at 20:00 is around £48. Same box, same 45 minutes, roughly half the price. If your date can move, move it.
When is it open?
The venue opens before the games do. On most days you can get a drink an hour or more before the first bookable box, and Monday and Tuesday have no games at all until the afternoon.

What is the food and drink like?
Food and drink are brought to your box while you play. The menu covers sharing plates like wings, tenders and birria tacos, alongside burgers, sandwiches and salads.
There's a full cocktail menu, plus low-alcohol and alcohol-free options. A children's menu is available separately. Current prices are on Toca Social's own site.

Tube. North Greenwich on the Jubilee line, about 15 minutes from central London. Out of the station, through the main entrance of The O2, turn right, and it is on the left next to Hollywood Bowl. Around five minutes on foot, longer if an arena show is going in or coming out.
Step-free. North Greenwich is step-free from street to platform and The O2 is level throughout, which makes it one of the more accessible activity venues in London.
Other routes. Thames Clipper to North Greenwich Pier, the cable car from the Royal Docks, or buses 108, 129, 132, 161, 188, 422, 472 and 486. If you are driving, use O2 car parks 2, 3 or 4.
Getting home. The Jubilee line runs all night on Fridays and Saturdays, so a late booking on those two nights still gets you home by tube. On other nights, check last trains before you book a late slot.
How do you book?
You book online, choosing a day, a time and how many people are playing. The price shown is for that exact slot, so it's worth checking a few different times before you settle on one. Adults and under-18s are booked separately. We'd recommend booking a few days in advance, especially for larger parties.

- How much is Toca Social at The O2?
- Between £10 and £23 per person for a 45-minute game box, depending on the day and time. The cheapest slots are after 21:00 on any night, and the dearest are Saturday afternoons.
- How long do you get?
- A standard booking is 45 minutes. Slots start every 15 minutes through the day, and on weekdays you can add extra time during booking. The weekend flow does not offer extensions.
- Do you need to be good at football?
- No. The beginner games are built around aiming rather than skill, and people who have never played can still score.
- Can children go?
- Yes. Under-18s are booked on a separate rate and there is a children's menu. Daytime and early evening suit families best.
- What is the cheapest time to go?
- After 22:00, any night of the week. Every day drops to around £10 to £12 for the last slots, Saturday included.
- How many people can play?
- The booking flow takes up to 24. Above that you have to go through the events team. The number that fits in one box is not published, so ring ahead if you are more than about eight.
- How far ahead should you book?
- Saturday afternoons sell out well in advance. Weeknights rarely do. Christmas dates are released separately and later.
- When can under-18s play?
- Daytime sessions are all ages. The venue becomes 18+ from 4pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and from 7pm on other days. Under-18s must be accompanied by an adult when they are allowed to play.
- Can you cancel a booking?
- Yes, free of charge up to 48 hours before your slot.
- Can you hire shoes?
- Yes, for around £2. They give better grip and accuracy than playing in your own shoes.
